ELUSIVE MOON

Headed over to Dixon Park Beach this evening, hopeful to see the full moon scheduled to rise over the ocean, just before sunset.  Alas, late storm clouds made such views a bit elusive: moon did make a fleeting appearance, which was pretty stunning for about a minute.

Surfers seemed happy though; a ridable swell’s arrived after a week of flat water.  I was happy too, but that’s mainly because I’m still caught up by the fact I became an uncle again yesterday, and that at the moment I shot these pics, my little nephew’s just clocked his first 24 hours on the planet.

Have a great weekend all, especially you pampered dads on Sunday.
